Hi, I’m Alison Holloran, but most people call me Ali.
I am a comprehensively certified, classically trained Pilates instructor, having completed my training and certifications through Peak Pilates. For more than 19 years, I have been practicing and teaching Pilates, and I continue to find joy in helping others discover the strength, confidence, and well-being that Pilates can bring.
I've always enjoyed being active, but after having my two beautiful daughters, my body felt different. I experienced aches and pains I had never dealt with before, and one day, shortly after my second daughter was born, I threw my back out while vacuuming. That was my wake-up call (not before questioning…do I really need to vacuum?). I knew I needed to make a change, and that's when I discovered Pilates.
What began as a personal journey to feel stronger and healthier quickly became a passion. After experiencing the incredible benefits for myself, I wanted to share them with others, so I embarked on the certification process—a journey that took several years and deepened my love for the Pilates method.
Like everyone, I've faced challenges along the way, with breast cancer being one of the most significant. Through every setback, Pilates has helped guide me back to strength, health, and happiness. It has been a constant source of resilience, both physically and mentally.
Today, I am passionate not only about teaching Pilates but also about creating meaningful connections with the wonderful people I have the privilege of working with. My goal at High Plains Pilates is to foster a welcoming, supportive community where everybody feels comfortable, encouraged, and empowered to reach their goals—wherever they may be on their journey.
